Produced By Andy Hawkins
Recorded over three days in April 2000, the bands ever maturing
sound develops thanks to the good production by Andy Hawkins.
Reviews :
The CD, which sold out of Virgin Records, Peterborough,
after just hour on release, contains the bands most tightest well
rounded tunes yet. The frenetic opener, How To Save Your Life, which
was chosen for the recent Limited Edition compilation, shows they’ve
absorbed their influences and developed a sound all of their own.
Wild keyboards, samples, even a dose of Ska thrown in for good measure.
Live favorite, The Sunday Saturday son, has all the laid back pop-rock
sentiments of Green Day or Blink 182. And slow-paced closer, Fallen,
proves the band aren’t just kings of thrash with its intricate indie-esque
melodies and strong vocals – even a soft rock guitar solo that works.

The Novelty's Worn Off
1) Pop Music
2) Daisy Faces
3) Bye Bye Valentine!
Over a year old now the second disc is still important and contains
classic Chekira tunes
Reviews :
Pop Music - A pop track complete with stilton
trimmings! In word form, it's cynical but light hearted as it tells
the story of an extremely twisted old man!
Daisy Faces - A moody track with huge, anthemic chorus and moving
climax. Popular live, Daisy Faces shows up a very original capability
within the band. Lyrically, it's a tale of love, triumph and despair
- the perfect anthem.
Bye Bye Valentine! - In this teen-punk track, the band wear their
sprog rock identity with pride! Strong guitars, killer melodies
and harmonies all round combine to produce a ...well..... unique
love song!
